Buzzards Bay is seeing an increase in fish activity as we move further into spring. The waters are warming up, and fish are becoming more active. This makes it a fantastic time for both inshore and offshore fishing. Anglers are having great success catching a variety of species, including scup, black sea bass, and striped bass. The bay is providing excellent fishing opportunities for anglers of all skill levels, from beginners to seasoned pros. Inshore Fishing: Inshore fishing in Buzzards Bay has been particularly productive. Scup and black sea bass are abundant and easily found in deeper waters near the rocks and structure along the bay. These species are providing fun action for anglers looking for a reliable catch. Striped bass are also starting to show up, especially around the early mornings or late evenings. They’re feeding aggressively, and those using live bait like menhaden or soft plastics are seeing success.
